Dear Parents,
On behalf of the staff at Kleinwater College, I am happy to welcome you to the 2020 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. While academics is the core business of our institution, we would endeavour to unleash the potential of our students in leadership, arts and sports, and innovation. We have planned activities throughout the year that will not only help the student identify their calling but also pursue it. The student that comes through our system must be able to participate meaningfully in contributing positive change in the 21st century. Hence our theme for the year 2020 is Working towards excellence.
We recognize that to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a significant difference in your child’s wholistic education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. Students that have positive parental support tend to do better in whatever they do. We need you to be there for student when they succeed, fail to meet expectations and in all their aspects of education including providing for their needs while they are at school.
In our endeavour to achieve excellence, we know that discipline and commitment go a long way in ensuring that we meet our goal of making sure that the student reaches his/her potential. Parents and the school must speak the same language on issues of discipline. Without discipline it is impossible to achieve our goals. As a school we will do our part in modelling good behaviour and inculcating positive discipline measures. The discipline we are talking about is that one that brings stability and structure in a person’s life. The discipline that considers others first and foremost. We will work towards having each student have a self-determined disciple, so that when they leave school and go into the community, they better the society they live in.
We have a team of highly qualified, experienced and committed teachers in every subject we teach. The teachers we have are committed to improve the lives of children through engaging in modern ways of teaching the 21st century child through inquiry-based teaching that puts the child at the centre of learning. It is through this strength that we promise that come end of year 2020 the student will have had a positive attitude towards schooling and life in general. Our teachers will develop a positive relationship with each student in guiding them as guardians while the student is with us.
Looking forward to an eventful and successful 2020 academic year
Yours in education
